My Wish For Ozark is a special project created by members of the Dale County Council of Arts & Humanities/Ann Rudd Art Center in downtown Ozark, Alabama to help commemorate the town’s homecoming celebration 10/1 & 10/2/10. All Ozarkians were invited to share a remembrance of the past and/or a wish for the future of the Ozark.
The project was received press mentions in: The Southern Star, The Army Flier and The Daleville Sun Courier. Wish jars were left at eleven businesses around town: Holy Cow Bakery, Family Traditions Gift Shop, The Salvation Army, The Flower Shoppe, The Humane Society, Ozark Hardware, The Southern Star newspaper, Ozark Chamber of Commerce, House of Hats, Barefield’s clothing store, and Colby’s restaurant. Wishes could also be left on the Rudd Center’s facebook page, and could be emailed to mywishforozark (at) gmail (dot) com
The wishes were displayed on stars falling from the ceiling in the window of the Dowling Museum/Ann Rudd Art Center on the square in downtown Ozark for Homecoming/Claybank Jamboree weekend. The wishes will also live here online for all the see and share.
Thank you.
